The Stylish Onkel Sofa by Simon Legald
Sometimes a pattern doesn't have to be completely original or new to be impressive. It'due south enough to take an old thought and use it in a new context or to revive it using a different technique. A good example would be this sofa. It's chosen Onkel which translates as "uncle" in Danish. The name is somewhat suggestive for the story of this sofa.
View in gallery The Onkel sofa was designed by Simon Legald for Normann Copenhagen. It has a design that represents a combination between simplicity, modernity and old charm. There are two sides of the pattern that seem contrasting in their essence simply that combined course a harmonious structure. On i hand, the outer beat of the sofa is firm and simple. On the other hand, the cushions are soft, comfortable and inviting. The divergence of styles is visible even when the two parts are out together in a cohesive structure. But this is what makes the sofa stand out.

View in gallery The unproblematic frame is a characteristic of the Nordic design and so are the materials and texture. The cushions are reminiscent of the pre 1950s era. These are two completely different styles coming from 2 different worlds. The dissimilarity is mostly visible in the fashion the back cushions are encapsulated by the frame. The event is a dynamic and elegant slice of piece of furniture with a very cohesive look. The frame, the cushions are even the under frame characteristic the same color and thus form a consummate unit that stands out.
