Each chapter is filled with beautiful photographs of artwork, and the ocassional artist spotlight. ...more

Art class required reading and I have to say information technology was very well written, engaging, and fabricated this business organization major enjoy learning and reading about fine art.

I have worked with a lot of art history books, just I had to effort to teach from this one. Information technology has no social club to it. It just flops whatever information technology wants in with whatever else. As an offshoot instructor I did not appreciate how information technology was structured at all. ii.5. I'm being generous with that.
And allow'south non forget all disciplines are required to have it. Some ppl aren't art ppl. Then why not kickoff with cavern drawings and build ... then and then in an interesting way...

You lot'd think an art history book would have color, merely everything in this is white 🤔

I accept had zippo fourth dimension for fun reads, information technology'due south trip planning and school. This is ane of the ones the gets looped into school. I gave it ii stars because I experience like I tin can't considerately say similar "oh hey this is horrid and I hate information technology", fifty-fifty though, that would be a valid statement. A splendid treasure that I will not find information technology anywhere!

This was really a very skillful read, for a textbook. Information presented in a curtailed and easily absorbed manner. Great pictures throughout!

Excellent bones text for art history, especially for someone unfamiliar with the expanse of study.

Read for an intro to art college course. The grade skipped a few chapters, only I really enjoyed this book and this class.

This book gives a condensed only great history of art. I enjoyed reading (and taking the class). Textbook. Skipped a few chapters not assigned.

A bang-up art book that perfectly merges the fine art with the history

Read this textbook for a higher Fine art History class. Some of the chapters drag on with so much info doping. However this was still a good art book with clear images.

I had to used this book for my Art 100 class at #EssexCountyCollege. The pictures weren't large enough. For a book that is meant to help yous appreciate art, the illustrations were gloomy, unclear and lacked whatever vibrance whatsoever.
